The Girlie-Q Variety Hour, Chicago's queerest and campiest
burlesque-variety show, will be back to entertain with "Free Love and
Death to Disco!" Variety from the 60s-70s era, on April 29, 2007.

Come see the secret life of Olivia Newton-John by Backdoor Aly, Bloody
Belle's daisy dukes, flower power undone by Bit O'Honey, a brit punk
catfight between Holly Wouldn't and Dominique Trixx, Clare de Lune's
striptease sass, Mae the Bellydancer's hot vibes, Marianne Mouthfull's
Love Buzz, and much more! Hosted by the on-again-off-again power
couple, Bloody Belle and Marianne Mouthfull. PLUS: Get hooked up on our
version of The Dating Game!

The Girlie-Q Variety Hour has been performing since May 2004, with a
regular monthly show at the HotHouse since September of 2005. They have
been featured at the PAC/Edge Festival and Estrojam 2005. Featuring
some of the edgiest burlesque, modern dance, "blue" songs,
and variety performance in town, the Girlie-Q Variety Hour is the
alternative to mainstream burlesque. The show mixes drag,
striptease, dance, comedy and radical sexual art with "lowbrow"
performance interests. Girlie-Q regularly digs up the strange, the
bizarre and the fantastic for an unforgettable evening that will
titillate, enchant, entertain, dazzle… and stimulate your grey matter.
